We believe happy employees do amazing work, so join our team NOW! We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Enterprise Depot Technician for a Full-Time position. The Depot has four main areas of operations as identified below: Shipping, Receiving and Storage: All equipment incoming and outgoing from the depot must be validated, inspected, inventoried, and received in accordance with USDA policy and depot procedures. All assets, whether sent, received, or stored shall be tracked within the USDA ITSM asset tracking system. The contractor shall assist with tracking changes of each hardware asset attribute to include, but not limited to make/model, purchase order, location, status, warranty, and serial number. The contractor shall assist with unboxing, re-boxing, and labeling. IT Excessing: IT Excessing processes shall include all desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and associated peripherals in accordance with federal excessing procedures. The depot will send return shipping labels for customers to use to send oldeplaced equipment to the depot. The contractor shall receive and inventory all equipment, sort all devices and accessories, and sanitize and/or remove hard drives. Devices shall be palletized and prepared for GSA auctioning, Computers for Learning (CFL), government donation, destruction, or recycling. The status of each asset being excessed shall be tracked in the USDA ITSM tracking system. Imaging and Configuration: All Windows based laptop and desktop devices shall be imaged using the USDA provided image and imaging process prior to customer shipment. The USDA maintains different agency configuration sequences that shall be loaded onto the system as part of the imaging process; the agency configuration used will differ based on the requesting/receiving agency. The contractor shall image computers following USDA imaging processes and ensure firmware has been updated and that each system is encrypted prior to shipment. Refurbishment: Any equipment sent back to the depot from customer locations which is still under warranty shall be refurbished for loaner or reutilization purposes in accordance with USDA process. These systems may be redeployed provided the asset has remaining useful life based on the date of initial deployment and warranty remaining. There will be conditions when the purchasing agency will require out-of-warranty systems be stored at the depot to support reutilization efforts. The contractor shall assist with USDA refurbishment processes.
