About The Position

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Enterprise Data Governance Lead (Multiple openings) in Minneapolis, MN. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead is part of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team, which works with all Business Lines to protect the company’s data assets by providing governance and oversight on critical data and ensuring compliance with regulations. Will support key capabilities including Key Reports and Authorized Data Sources, Metadata Management and Data Catalog, Data Quality, Data Lineage, End-to-end Testing, Data Quality Defect / Issue Management, and Data Governance Program / Project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Analytics, or Financial Risk Management
  • 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) data governance or data analysis experience.
  • 24 months of experience with Building data models and reports utilizing analytical tools.
  • 24 months of experience Applying the principles of financial risk management to create, implement, maintain, review and oversee an effective financial risk management framework capturing material risks related to interest rate risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and market risk.
  • 24 months of experience Leading data quality initiatives and advanced analytics projects using Tableau, SQL, and AWS.
  • 24 months of experience Working with the following tools: SQL, Power BI, SAS, Python.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Data Quality checks by working with Business Lines to define the mapping of ADS systems and perform DQ check using SQL or Python.
  • Based on the DQ rules check a DQ scorecard is prepared and shared with the Business Lines.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders in one or more assigned Business Lines for Data Quality and Analytical solutions.
  • Utilizes the following tools/technologies: SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Tableau, AWS.
