About The Position

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for creating, modernizing, and managing the enterprise data architecture for structured and unstructured data in an innovative, collaborative fashion. Working with all lines of business across the enterprise, the Architect designs strategic initiatives to ensure adherence to data standards and data management best practices. As a subject matter expert, the Enterprise Data Architect mentors more junior data architects, data solutions engineers, as well as other business and technical SMEs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, data analytics or a related field
  • 15+ years’ experience in a data discipline such as developing and implementing data framework, reference models, or data modeling (operational and analytical).
  • Certification in TOGAF (or similar framework required)

Responsibilities

  • Define strategies for high complexity challenges to reduce data redundancy, improve data availability, and accessibility by partnering with the technical teams.
  • Develop the overall vision and underlying framework for BOKF’s data capabilities and activities.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Data Governance to define data accuracy meets organizational quality and integrity standards.
  • Decompose complex problems to modules, related tasks, and construct tactical solutions with prescribed tools that can be adopted across the enterprise and introduces new tools or features to the framework.
  • Drive and execute proof of concept efforts and integrate into current data ecosystem and determine how new technologies can be leveraged.
  • Develop understanding of complex business requirements and take the lead to design enterprise information architecture solutions in compliance with BOKF data management principles and security controls.
  • Deliver a maintainable and reusable data architecture that meets the needs of the organization, ensuring pitfalls are avoided.
  • Act as SME to multiple data domains and is an SME for data sources in the domain and understand how the data within different domains relate.
  • Define how data should be acquired, stored, processed, distributed, and consumed across different data technologies and architectures.
  • Approve standards and guidelines for the design & development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of data.
  • Mentor more junior data architects, data solutions engineers, as well as other business and technical SMEs.
  • Anticipate changing data-related technologies, looking for trends and opportunities for BOKF to adopt and roadmap for current and future needs.
