About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an Enterprise Data Architect position for our client. This role involves leading the architecture and design of enterprise-scale data platforms that support secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions. The architect will define enterprise data architecture standards, data models, and governance frameworks, collaborating with business, engineering, and technology teams to develop modern data platform strategies and integration solutions. Responsibilities include designing scalable data ingestion, transformation, storage, metadata management, and data consumption architectures, providing technical leadership, evaluating emerging technologies, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements, and developing architecture documentation and roadmaps.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data architectures.
• Experience with data modeling, metadata management, data governance, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• 10+ years of enterprise data architecture and data engineering experience.
• Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and governance practices.
• Strong background collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Project Nessie or equivalent transactional catalog tooling for Apache Iceberg.
• Knowledge of medical imaging (DICOM), multi-modal clinical data integration, omics, or real-world data.
• Familiarity with FAIR data principles for life sciences data platforms.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Temporal, or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
• Previous experience delivering fixed-fee, milestone-based projects within regulated enterprise environments.
• Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
• Master's degree preferred.
