About The Position

As an Enterprise Cybersecurity Vulnerability Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting Booz Allen Hamilton's internal vulnerability management operations. You'll assist with vulnerability scanning, data analytics, remediation tracking, and reporting activities, that help protect critical systems across the enterprise. This internship offers real-world exposure to enterprise cybersecurity tools and processes, mentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals, and opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in a Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of coding languages, such as SQL or Python
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, solutions, or technologies
  • Knowledge of basic networking protocols, including TCP, IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS
  • Ability to use business intelligence or data visualization tools to aggregate and analyze data, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Analytics, or Data Science by December 2028
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of vulnerabilities, cyber threats, and information security frameworks
  • Knowledge of open security standards and projects, including OWASP
  • Ability to display interest in vulnerability management, security operations, or threat intelligence
  • Ability to display interest in vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or Wiz
  • Possession of excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with vulnerability scanning and assessment using enterprise tools such as Tenable Security Center and Tenable Cloud Security
  • Support vulnerability data analysis, including identifying trends, tracking remediation progress, and validating patch compliance
  • Help develop and maintain vulnerability management dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools
  • Extract, transform, and analyze vulnerability data using Python or SQL
  • Collaborate with vulnerability analysts to support outreach efforts to affected environments
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on emerging threats and remediation strategies
  • Grow communication and technical skills by partnering with senior analysts and presenting findings in team reviews
