The Enterprise Cloud & Infrastructure Architect is a strategic senior technology expert responsible for designing, governing, and evolving enterprise-scale infrastructure across both on-premises data center environments and Microsoft Azure in a highly available, secure, multi-tenant environment. Microsoft Azure is the organization’s primary cloud platform and the principal focus of this role; the Architect is also expected to maintain working knowledge of other major public cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud) to support acquired environments, evaluate workload placement, and advise on multi-cloud implications. This role owns the hybrid architecture that connects existing server, storage, virtualization, and identity platforms to the cloud, serves as a key member of the Architecture Review Board (ARB), leads infrastructure strategy for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration initiatives, and defines reference architectures that enable engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions. The Architect partners closely with Security, Engineering, Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Application Teams, and Business Leadership to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, operational excellence principles, and business objectives. This individual combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, serving as both a trusted technical advisor and a mentor to engineering teams while effectively communicating complex technology concepts to executive stakeholders.
