About The Position

The Enterprise Architecture Lead Analyst is a senior technology professional responsible for designing, governing, and implementing enterprise architecture solutions that support Citi's business strategy and technology objectives. This role partners with engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and business teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, resilient, secure, and efficient technology solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong architecture expertise, influence technology direction across multiple initiatives, and drive adoption of enterprise standards, architectural best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technology field.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex technology solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Experience working across multiple technology domains, including cloud, applications, infrastructure, data, and systems integration.
  • Strong track record of partnering with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture principles and best practices.
  • Experience designing cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Azure.
  • Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Knowledge of database technologies and data architecture concepts.
  • Experience with architecture governance, technology standards, and solution review processes.
  • Understanding of security, resiliency, and operational risk considerations in technology design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build partnerships across business and technology teams.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Experience with enterprise integration and API management platforms.
  • Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Snowflake and analytics ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
  • Develops technology road maps, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies.
  • Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
  • Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
  • Applies hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces.
  • Provides integrated systems planning and recommends innovative technologies that will enhance the current system.
  • Recommends appropriate desktop, computer platform, and communication links required to support IT goals and strategy.
  • Exhibits good knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and good understanding of competitors products and services.
  • Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior team members.
  • Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
  • Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services.
  • Guides, influences and persuades others with developed communication and diplomacy skills.
