About The Position

Workday is seeking an Enterprise Architect for their Financial Services Industry (FSI) team. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to customers and prospects, crafting overall solution strategies to achieve business objectives. The position requires deep Financial Services expertise and an understanding of enterprise SaaS solutions, establishing the architect as a leader with a valued point of view. The role is part of the North America Presales team, communicating and demonstrating the power of Workday's applications, and sits at the intersection of Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams.

Requirements

  • Enterprise Architect
  • 3+ years of Enterprise Software Solution Consulting experience or hands-on experience supporting enterprise software applications.
  • 3+ years delivering compelling presentations both in person and virtual meetings, effectively communicating technical concepts and strategic initiatives.
  • 2+ years applied working knowledge of cloud architecture, security, reporting, and integration standards.
  • Senior Enterprise Architect
  • 5+ years of Enterprise Software Solution Consulting experience or hands-on experience supporting enterprise software applications.
  • 5+ years delivering compelling presentations both in person and virtual meetings, effectively communicating technical concepts and strategic initiatives.
  • 4+ years applied working knowledge of cloud architecture, security, reporting, and integration standards.
  • Bringing a point of view and influencing decision making.
  • Multi-pillar Solution and Product Knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional consultative selling skills, with a focus on understanding customer needs, building relationships, and effectively communicating value to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Strong value selling skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, effectively communicate value propositions, and build strong relationships to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Strong product demonstration skills, with the ability to effectively showcase product features and benefits through engaging presentations and interactive demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Leading strategic, complex, platform opportunities by architecting technology solution strategies that achieve customer objectives.
  • Identifying and analyzing key systems, dependencies, and integration points within the overall solution landscape, developing solution maps.
  • Providing expert guidance to sales and deal teams on how to differentiate with Workday technology.
  • Collaborating across functional groups (Value Management, Services, Customer Success Management) to create customer experiences that build long-term, sustainable relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
