About The Position

The Enterprise Architect will define and oversee adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across applications, infrastructure, and information security. This role involves defining architecture, leading the selection of important platforms (cloud and on-premises), products, and vendors for enterprise-wide programs. The architect will ensure application and system architectures align with enterprise needs, particularly for Front and Middle Office functions using CRD as a foundation, and for Back Office functions using SS&C GWP & Sylvan as a foundation. Responsibilities include leading technology and business teams to evaluate current solutions, plan multi-year roadmaps, and survey the technology landscape to identify strategic systems. The role also involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various technology teams, vendors, and partners, and facilitating the optimization of current state architecture during transformations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ year's combination of solution / technical / business architecture roles with 7+ years leading, developing and mentoring
  • 5+ years of architecture experience at a large wealth management or asset management firm
  • Strong knowledge of CRD in a wealth management context dealing with UMA portfolio structures. [Unified Managed Account [UMA] portfolio structures. A UMA allows wealth managers to consolidate multiple different investment strategies into a single, cohesive account master.]
  • Experience with application, data, integration, security, and technology platform architectures and implementation patterns
  • Experience implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes simultaneously, including how to guide and measure adoption of best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sylvan strongly preferred - This tool usually handles the downstream data and complex accounting processes.
  • Experience with Azure data and integration services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee the adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across portions of applications, infrastructure, and information security
  • Define the architecture and lead the selection of important platforms (both cloud and on-premises), products, and vendors to be utilized for programs across the enterprise
  • Ensure the architecture of applications and systems (especially cloud-based data and integration architecture, with CRD as a foundation, for Front and Middle Office functions & with SS&C GWP & Sylvan as a foundation, for Back office functions) is consistent with enterprise needs, and ascertain how application solutions are used to meet those enterprise needs
  • Lead technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities
  • Survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with firm strategy while collaborating with executive leadership to recommend, implement and maintain appropriate technology solutions
  • Function as SME to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners
  • Facilitate optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture
