About The Position

Arke is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect with a deep understanding of technical architectures and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and clear, persuasive dialogue, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders. As a consultancy, this role requires the ability to transition between requirements, initiate new challenges, and collaborate with multiple developer teams for clients. A proven track record of guiding clients through the design and implementation of enterprise architecture to meet their specific needs is essential. A work sample is required at the time of application.

Minimum of 7 years of enterprise-scale design and implementation experience in software development, with deep knowledge in at least two of the following technical disciplines: cloud computing, cloud-native, application development, and middleware.
Proven Azure or AWS expertise; proficiency in both is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with enterprise patterns and principles (e.g., Microservices, EDA, DDD, N-Tiers).
Competency in enterprise architecture, middleware, and data flow diagramming.
Ability to audit and document existing architectures and ecosystems, identifying gaps, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
Experience and understanding of modern API design patterns and principles.
Able to define API specifications (preferably using Swagger).
Proficiency with enterprise tools such as SQL, Service Bus/Message Queue, Caching, ESB, and ETL.
Understanding of object-oriented principles (e.g., interfaces, composition, polymorphism).
Understanding of different AI tools/models and what and how they accelerate job responsibilities

Nice To Haves

Preferred background in consulting or client-facing roles.
Preferred experience contributing to open-source projects or public repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
Experience in an Enterprise Architect role at a digital or creative agency.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to make strategic decisions impacting their business solutions.
Create future state architectures for clients at an enterprise scale.
Ensure the integrity of technical designs and features within the enterprise architecture.
Lead the development team; prior experience as a developer is required.
Provide accurate estimates for project scopes and development timelines.
Facilitate backlog management, including creation, maintenance, and planning.
Conduct client discussions on best practices for enterprise web/software applications.
Offer in-depth knowledge of platforms, design patterns, and enterprise solution practices.
Mentor junior team members to foster skill growth and ensure project success.
Maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring smooth project progression.
