InfobloxTacoma, WA
$137,300 - $209,110Remote

About The Position

We have an opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture & IT Strategy team in US Remote, reporting to the Senior Director. In this pivotal role, you own the end-to-end architecture for a set of business capabilities and help move Infoblox from emerging architecture practices to a unified, capability-centric operating model with strong governance, clear traceability, and measurable business outcomes. Collaborating closely with business, product, data, security, and engineering teams, you shape target-state architectures, guide complex solution designs across AI, integration, data, and infrastructure domains, and champion modern, reusable patterns that accelerate delivery while managing risk.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in enterprise, solution, or platform architecture roles across applications, data, integration, and/or infrastructure, including work in complex or global environments
  • Proven experience designing and governing large-scale, business-critical solutions aligned to capabilities and value streams, including roadmap and dependency ownership
  • Deep knowledge of modern architecture patterns: API-first, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) on at least one major cloud
  • Strong background in data and integration architecture (data modeling, pipelines, MDM, streaming, ETL/ELT, iPaaS, ESB/API gateways) and how to create AI-ready data foundations
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI and automation tools (enterprise AI assistants, ML/analytics platforms, RPA/IPA, AI-enabled observability) and how to apply them safely in enterprise workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to define and enforce architecture standards, reference architectures, and governance processes while balancing strategy and delivery realities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills — able to simplify complex topics, facilitate decisions, and influence across business, product, engineering, data, and security teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking capabilities with a focus on measurable outcomes and traceability to business value
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working in product-centric, Agile/DevOps environments (cross-functional squads, CI/CD, infrastructure as code) and with modern, AI-enhanced collaboration tools

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or relevant architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe, cloud, data/AI) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead capability-centric architecture strategy for assigned domains, connecting business strategy to clear technology roadmaps
  • Build and maintain end-to-end capability maps and architecture landscapes that link value streams, processes, data, applications, and infrastructure
  • Develop contextual, conceptual, logical, and physical architecture views that cover key functional and non-functional requirements
  • Translate business and product strategies into solution architectures spanning AI, integration, data, and infrastructure, aligned to enterprise standards and target state
  • Define and evolve architecture standards, reference models, and reusable patterns, including API-led, event-driven, data/analytics, and AI-assisted workflows
  • Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to embed AI thoughtfully into business processes (decision support, analytics, automation, content generation) with responsible use and strong data protection
  • Guide solution teams on selecting and integrating AI and analytics tools (enterprise AI assistants, ML platforms, observability solutions) to improve productivity and insight
  • Lead and participate in architecture governance forums, driving design reviews, key decisions, and transparent exception handling
  • Identify and drive opportunities for reuse, simplification, modularity, zero-touch automation, and self-service across platforms and capabilities
  • Develop and maintain multi-year capability and platform roadmaps that align dependencies, funding, and sequencing with business priorities
