About The Position

Markon is building a talent pool of Enterprise Architect/Systems Engineer to support our IC client from Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in documenting and shaping our client's IT enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with the client's vision of driving interoperability across multiple organizations.

Requirements

  • An Active TS/SCI with a current Counter Intelligence Polygraph (Preferably from this client).
  • Bachelors of Science (in a technical domain) degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience OR: Masters of Science (in a technical domain) with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF).
  • Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Rational Rhapsody, Cameo, Genesys, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develop an IT enterprise architecture that provides client stakeholders awareness of critical capabilities, dependencies, and mission critical impacts and risks. This includes developing the: Enterprise Architecture Baseline - discover and capture the state of the client's IT enterprise as it exists across multiple organizations throughout the enterprise. Enterprise Architecture Future State - work in alignment with the client's vision to capture the state of the client's IT enterprise. Enterprise Architecture Transition Plan - create the guidance and architecture artifacts to incrementally transition the client's enterprise architecture from the as-is state to the future state.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
