About The Position

This role involves partnering with senior business and IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps for Asset Management, including Inspections, Risk Management, Analytics & Reporting, and Digital Twins. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to leverage AI/ML/Gen AI technologies for future goals, assessing the current IT application environment, and developing a future IT target architecture. The Enterprise Architect will lead vendor assessments, support RFPs, and contribute to application rationalization efforts. Additionally, the role supports IT strategic planning, portfolio modernization, and coordinates roadmaps across enterprise groups to manage conflicts and interdependencies. Collaboration with domain enterprise architects ensures consistency and integration of strategies, standards, design patterns, and roadmaps. The position also involves supporting project delivery by providing an enterprise architecture view for solution designs and staying updated with emerging technologies like AI and edge computing. Solving complex issues with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, developing a deep understanding of business processes, application portfolios, and IT infrastructure, and suggesting technology needs to enable business maturity are key aspects of this role. Creating business architecture models to align business vision with technology roadmaps, owning the architecture of an application portfolio, and creating enterprise strategy in alignment with organizational goals are also required. Building and maintaining prioritized portfolio backlogs, delivering reusable architecture patterns, and coaching implementation teams are part of the responsibilities. The role requires a strong understanding of business processes, application portfolio, and underlying IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related subject or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience.
  • Strong experience with a diverse set of technologies and platforms with deep expertise in at least a few.
  • Highly analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with diverse application development technologies and platforms.
  • Good understanding of business and data architecture, business capability mapping, and business process reengineering.
  • Solution architecture and project implementation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Utilities with focus areas such as Asset and Risk Management.
  • Experience enabling AI/ML for Asset Management, Risk Management, and Analytics & Reporting.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Architecture implementation experience with technologies in SAP, GIS, and Enterprise Reporting.
  • Relevant architecture certification such as TOGAF.
