About The Position

About this Position / Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs, to support the organization’s business operations and communication needs. Cloud centric network design, including multi-tenant, multi-region (intra US) deployments and multi-vendor technologies across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS tiers Data centric network design for efficient data transfers within the agency and across agencies and with other business partners and public or otherwise external data sources Incorporate network solutioning with our emerging Cloud FinOps practice to support cost analysis and cost modeling for networking related cost Design and document the entire network implementation process Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference Develop patterns and standards for all network designs The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades. Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met. Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption Define multisite network operations and software applications. Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team. Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers. Aligns architecture strategy with business goals. Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience required in technical design and architecture around network equipment and network software systems.
  • 6 years of experience required in design, build and maintain multi-tier networks.
  • 10 years of experience required in handling issues that arise with large networks, prioritize network security and compliance, understanding security protocols, and firewalls.
  • 6 years of experience required in advanced Network Design and Architecture planning, proficiency in Network Simulation and Modeling Tools Network Security Frameworks and Best Practices.
  • 6 years of experience required in conducting site assessment of current remote site WAN/LAN/WLAN environments, identifying network problem areas and develop hierarchical based network design.
  • 10 years of exerience required with Project data and documentation tools & experience with developing network design documentations and presentations using VISIO.
  • 5 years of experience required designing and implementing multiple global Azure cloud solutions to support revenue generation. Worked to move key servers to cloud based services.
  • 10 years of experience required in Network Security Frameworks and Best Practices, Cloud Networking and Virtualization Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure and Protocol.
