Job summary: The Enterprise Architect ensures alignment of technology solutions with business strategy by driving architecture standards, governance, and lifecycle processes. This role partners across IT, Security, and business units to optimize the technology portfolio, maintain accurate configuration data, and guide solution design through structured review practices. The Enterprise Architect also collaborates with engineering and operations teams to embed IT/security principles into machinery design and lifecycle management. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in shaping new practices and driving enterprise-wide alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years in IT architecture or related roles such as Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Solution Design, or Enterprise Application Engineering in large-scale environments.
  • Knowledge of EA frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, practices, and tooling.
  • Familiarity with CMDB concepts, ITSM/ITIL processes, and change management
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure domains; integration patterns; security principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and SaaS ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus across business and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience establishing or maturing architecture practices is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of OT/IT convergence and industrial automation integration preferred.
  • TOGAF or equivalent EA framework.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Cloud (Azure Solution Architect or similar).
  • Security (CISSP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and Evolve Architecture Practices Contribute to the design and enhancement of configuration management processes, ensuring accurate CMDB data and sustaining the integrity of system configurations.
  • Advance change management capabilities and collaborate in CAB to support consistent and controlled technology updates.
  • Shape, refine, and support architecture review and governance processes to drive alignment and compliance.
  • Strategic Partnership Engage with business units to understand challenges, gather requirements, and propose technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security teams to develop technology roadmaps and strategies.
  • Partner with business and technical teams throughout the product lifecycle, from R&D to production and field support, to embed and enhance IT/security standards, support methodologies, and integration requirements.
  • Governance & Standards Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and IT/Security governance.
  • Solution Advisory Review technical designs for alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Provide guidance on technology decisions and integration patterns.
  • Practice Development Contribute to EA operating model, OKRs/metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for EA value across the organization and champion ongoing maturity.
  • Portfolio Assess the technology portfolio for redundancy, risk, and optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, security, and governance requirements.
