About The Position

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Headquarters, located in Arlington, VA, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Application Administrator to support the Enterprise Solutions team. This junior-level role is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and managing users for third-party, cloud-based business applications. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with technical curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-service mindset. This role is a good fit for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms across several business areas. This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be local to the DC metro area to be considered for the position. The applications supported in this role include, but are not limited to: Axxess –Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Microsoft Dynamics –Business applications/CRM/ERP platform World View–Document management system Concur –Expense Management System CodeTwo –Centralized email signature management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in application administration or a related technical support role.
  • Strong interest in learning and administering cloud-based/SaaS business applications.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts such as user account management, data backups, and software updates.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and applications simultaneously.
  • Customer-service orientation and a proactive, self-motivated approach to learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to any cloud-based SaaS applications (e.g., CRM, document management, or EMR systems).
  • Experience posting and maintaining content on intranet or content management platforms.
  • Familiarity with basic web concepts (CMS platforms and hosting environments).
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of data security and compliance concepts (e.g., HIPAA).

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain settings, workflows, and integrations within assigned cloud-based applications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day administration of assigned platforms.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement application updates, new features, and configuration changes.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and access permissions across all managed applications.
  • Manage role-based access controls to ensure appropriate levels of security and compliance.
  • Respond to and resolve user access requests and related help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly or quarterly access reviews and cleanup in coordination with business owners and IT.
  • Coordinate application updates and patches with vendors and IT leadership.
  • Track patch schedules and maintenance windows, communicating downtime or changes to affected users.
  • Test updates in staging/sandbox environments (where available) prior to production deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues, escalating to vendor support when necessary.
  • Document known issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for each application.
  • Provide application overview training and maintain knowledge base articles and FAQs for each application.
  • Manage and update content on the existing intranet platform regularly.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Support compliance efforts related to data security, HIPAA (for the EMR system), and other applicable regulations.
  • Assist with audits and reporting related to application usage, access, and data integrity.
  • Proactively learn the functionality, administration, and best practices of each assigned application.
  • Participate in vendor-provided training, webinars, and certification opportunities as available.
  • Stay current on updates, new features, and industry best practices related to SaaS application administration.
