Enterprise AI Architecture Director

Accenture•St. Louis, MO
•$112,900 - $338,300

About The Position

Accenture is hiring a senior architecture leader for its Digital Core Reinvention practice to own the technical shape of its AI-native architecture offering. The role focuses on making AI a first-class participant in the enterprise core and setting the standard for credible AI-native transformation. The position is on the senior technical track, emphasizing methodology and technical authority rather than sales quota ownership. The role owns and evolves the end-to-end delivery methodology for AI-native architecture, including the design of boundaries between AI-controlled and deterministic processes. It also establishes the technical point of view through public talks, client architecture councils, and frontier-partner relationships, and oversees a portfolio of reference architectures, agent framework patterns, multi-model orchestration blueprints, and evaluation harnesses. Engagements should use or produce major assets. Travel may be required and can range from 0% to 100%, depending on business and client needs.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of enterprise technology delivery experience, with meaningful experience in at least two of: large-scale data engineering, AI/ML platforms, enterprise architecture, or software engineering leadership.
  • At least 2 years designing and delivering production AI-native architectures at enterprise scale, including at least one transformation where the candidate was the named architecture lead.
  • At least 5 years owning a productized offering, platform, or methodology.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, including a minimum of 12 years of work experience; alternatively, an associate's degree with a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
  • A clear, defensible, publicly articulable point of view on the current AI frontier, including what is real, what is hype, and what matters in 18 months.
  • Working command of AI Architecture, AI Guardrail Design, Multi-Model Orchestration, and Agent Framework Design.
  • Ability to translate hands-on architecture arguments into clear commercial narratives and back again.
  • Ability to establish credibility with client executives through technical depth alone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing multi-agent systems and orchestration patterns between distinct agent roles.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies for real-time AI feedback loops.
  • Experience analyzing existing systems through systematic dependency analysis and architectural discovery before modification.
  • Comfort being outranked on pipeline conversations and outvoting on technical ones.
  • A track record of editing methodology the way engineers edit code.
  • Relationships with frontier partners such as Anthropic, OpenAI, hyperscaler AI organizations, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Own, defend, evolve, and approve the end-to-end delivery methodology for AI-native architecture work, including AI guardrail design.
  • Set and communicate the technical point of view on credible AI transformation through conference talks, client architecture councils, and frontier-partner relationships.
  • Own the asset portfolio, including reference architectures, agent framework patterns, multi-model orchestration blueprints, and evaluation harnesses.
  • Ensure major engagements consume an existing asset or produce one.
  • Serve as the technical authority on consequential engagements and contribute technical depth to client and commercial conversations.
