About The Position

Green Street seeks highly motivated candidates with relevant work experience, a passion for finance and real estate, and superior academic credentials to join its Enterprise Account Management team. The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities will include servicing existing key clients, renewing subscriptions, training/educating client base, and managing existing relationships with critical accounts and at senior levels. The ideal candidate will be able to create and implement a strategy to increase annual revenue for each key client, actively collect client feedback, and grow the overall relationship. Significant teamwork with the Account Management, Customer Success and New Business teams is expected.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with high distinction in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
  • Superior relationship management skills and a desire to help people
  • Strong motivation to achieve results and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Experience negotiating with clients, or a desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Fundamental understanding of financial industry (investment banks, lenders, private equity firms, hedge funds, stocks, bonds, etc.) with preference for undedrstanding of Commercial Real Estate

Responsibilities

  • Renewing existing accounts with increased service levels and pricing
  • Demonstrating expertise in communicating and selling all aspects of the Green Street platform
  • Creating and implementing a key account strategy and account plan for each client
  • Forecasting revenue for upcoming renewals on monthly, quarterly and annual bases
  • Training clients on Green Street’s Research, News and Data & Analytics services, as well as our methodology and web-based platform
  • Obtaining and effectively communicating responses to client questions and data requests, and facilitating interaction between clients and research staff
  • Providing feedback from clients to assess possible enhancements to existing products and the need for new products
  • Transitioning new clients from point of sale to the Green Street platform
  • Maintaining accurate customer database of industry contacts and interactions for reporting, and utilizing various tools (Salesfore, Salesloft, Gong, etc.)
  • Consistently providing detailed updates on activities to Account Management team
  • Contributing to team effort and work on special projects
  • Identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities to drive incremental revenue for New Business
