About The Position

VLCM is launching a new Mobile Surveillance business unit and is hiring the person who will build it from the ground up. Mobile Surveillance Units (MSUs) are a fast-growing category in physical security, offering deployable camera systems for various sites. VLCM has partnered with a leading vendor to offer a model where customers own their equipment, leading to faster deployment and reduced security costs. This role involves building the business unit, managing deals, growing partnerships, and eventually hiring a team. The position offers uncapped upside on deals and the opportunity to head the practice as it grows, with P&L responsibility.

Requirements

Proven track record of closing deals and hitting quota.
Experience selling mobile surveillance units (MSU) or physical security.
Comfortable with ambiguity and building a sales process from scratch.
Hungry, coachable, and hands-on approach.
Consultative selling skills, focusing on cost math and value proposition.
Must pass background check.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Direct experience selling mobile surveillance units (LVT, WCCTV, or similar).
Physical security industry experience (Verkada, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar).
Early-career hungry hunters with closing ability and a desire to lead a business unit.

Responsibilities

Close new business by running deals end-to-end into construction, public sector, and distributed operations accounts.
Build partnerships by working with VLCM's national reseller network to activate resellers on the MSU category, and recruit, enable, and grow partners as the practice scales.
Shape the offering by working directly with the vendor partner on pricing, packaging, and positioning.
Head the practice by eventually leading reps, a team, and the entire practice as the business grows.
Build the systems for sales process, deal registration, partner onboarding, and forecasting.
