For this job we are currently only hiring candidates based in the United States, with a preference for candidates based in New York City. Ontra is seeking an Account Director, Growth Sales to join our rapidly growing company, reporting to our Managing Director, Growth Sales. The Account Director will play a key role in growing Ontra's existing enterprise customer base by driving expansion through cross-selling AI-native products and services, increasing product adoption, and uncovering new revenue opportunities within strategic accounts. Using the MEDDICC sales framework, you'll partner with Business Development and Customer Success to identify customer needs, engage senior legal and business stakeholders, and close complex expansion opportunities. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious professional, whether from an enterprise sales or corporate law background, who thrives on expanding strategic customer relationships, driving account growth, and helping customers transform legal workflows through AI-native products and services.

Requirements

  • Either (i) 8+ years selling enterprise B2B technology, preferably AI-native products, AI-enabled services, or professional services, with experience engaging legal, compliance, and finance stakeholders; or (ii) 3-4 years as a corporate attorney, ideally in private funds, private equity, M&A, or leveraged finance/credit, seeking to transition into a client-facing business role
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and GSuite; experience with Outreach or SalesLoft and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Comfortable with autonomy but enjoys collaborating with a team; is coachable and receptive to feedback
  • Can learn new concepts quickly and communicate those concepts efficiently
  • Entrepreneurial, hunter mindset; enjoys networking, finding new customers, and building systems not yet in place
  • Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills; your high EQ allows you to easily command an audience

Responsibilities

  • Quickly become fluent in Ontra's AI-native products and services and confidently position solutions that address customer needs.
  • Own and manage a pipeline of expansion opportunities from discovery through close, leveraging the MEDDICC sales framework.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, pitching, and closing cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving go-to-market initiatives while helping validate new products, services, and market opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and Business Development to identify expansion opportunities, develop account strategies, and deliver a seamless customer experience.
