About The Position

The Enrollment Specialist will act as a point-of-contact and subject matter expert for enrollment-related inquiries. This role involves communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide and obtain information accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner. The specialist will stay informed about electronic enrollment processes, transactions, and potential operational issues to effectively resolve problems and contribute to internal and cross-departmental projects. A key aspect of this role is to drive operational efficiencies by identifying and resolving discrepancies in system data flow. This includes investigating and correcting transactions that did not process correctly, managing complex membership changes, and maintaining a strong working relationship with the vendor partner. The specialist will also assist with preventive maintenance by analyzing and logging processing issues, managing issues from identification to resolution, and recommending solutions. Furthermore, the role involves collecting and analyzing data to identify opportunities for improving business relationships, including direct communication with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and Transformation Management Office (TMO). Miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and two years of work experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point-of-contact and subject matter expert, communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding enrollment inquiries.
  • Obtain or provide information regarding enrollment related inquiries accurately, professionally, and timely.
  • Remain apprised of electronic enrollment processes, transactions, and potential operational issues to resolve issues and provide input on projects.
  • Work to gain operational efficiencies by identifying and resolving system-related data flow discrepancies.
  • Investigate and correct transactions that did not go through the processing system.
  • Process all levels of membership changes and/or complex transactions that involve special handling.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the vendor partner and understand end-to-end processes.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance by analyzing and logging potential processing issues and root problems.
  • Manage open issues from identification to resolution and closure.
  • Synthesize relevant data to recommend viable solutions and workarounds and train necessary individuals.
  • Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between the business and other entities.
  • Communicate and participate with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and Transformation Management Office (TMO).
  • Perform all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
