About The Position

Horizon Health in any Horizon location is seeking a full-time Enrollment Services Specialist. The Enrollment Services Specialist is responsible for verifying patient eligibility, assisting with enrollment, and navigating the complexities of healthcare insurance and assistance programs. You will work with patients to understand their options and ensure proper coverage, particularly for those who are uninsured or underinsured. The Enrollment Services Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients have access to the care they need. They help patients navigate a complex healthcare system and access the resources they are entitled to, often ensuring that low income and underserved populations have access to quality care. Successful candidates for the Enrollment Services Specialist should be passionate about providing high-quality, patient centered care. Horizon Health offers a team-oriented work environment focused on meeting the needs of individual patients while supporting and contributing to the health and wellness of our communities. This position is open only to candidates residing in South Dakota or a neighboring state. Telework arrangement will only be considered for those located in South Dakota or neighboring state.

Responsibilities

Sliding Fee Application Review: Assess applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Horizon’s eligibility criteria.
Communication: Inform applicants of their application status, explain program guidelines, and answer questions.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of approval and denied applications, including reasons for denial.
