About The Position

The Student Worker for Enrollment Management performs duties that involve assisting administrative staff with hiring efforts for call center departments, providing front desk coverage by greeting guests and directing them, managing office supply inventory, assisting with shipping equipment to remote employees, and undertaking miscellaneous projects as needed. The role is part-time and located onsite.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a team member and cultivate positive working relationships
  • Must have acute attention to detail and demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple work assignments simultaneously, often under strict deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy required including knowledge and application of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • Occasionally required to travel around campus.
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Hiring inbox by emailing applicants, scheduling interviews, and keeping the applicant tracker document up-to-date.
  • Assist in creating folders to be sent out to new hires with their equipment.
  • Assist in shipping out equipment for new hires when needed.
  • Greet guests and connect them with the right department/individual.
  • Maintain the supply closet and deliver supplies as needed.
  • Proactively look for any maintenance issues that need to be addressed around the office and inform administration (e.g., patching and painting, cube repairs, moving furniture, lighting needs, pest control, room temperature).
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.
