About The Position

The Enrollment Communications Specialist will manage, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive annual communications strategy in Slate, supporting both undergraduate and graduate enrollment goals. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Operations, this role will serve as a Slate communications superuser and act as a bridge between the admissions and marketing team to ensure consistent SXU branding and messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proficiency in the use of computer technology and software in a business setting required
• Experience working with business processes and operations is required
• Excellent written communication skills (writing, editing, proofreading)
• Experience working in admissions, operations, or beginner-to-intermediate information technology roles
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Excellent time management skills
• An interest in learning and the ability to master policies, processes, and procedures quickly is essential
• Ability to understand and articulate complex issues and business processes
• An interest in working in a fast-paced team environment is necessary

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Technolutions Slate or other student information systems or CRMs is highly preferred
• Project management skills and problem-solving skills are preferred
• Experience or interest in learning HTML/CSS/Javascript

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain communications campaigns in Slate (email, SMS, print)
• Write, edit, and proofread all content for accuracy and tone
• Build and manage the annual communications calendar, ensuring deadlines are met
• Collaborate with admissions and marketing stakeholders to align messaging with branding and strategic goals
• Maintain documentation of communication flows and assets
• Manage reporting to track communication effectiveness
• Assist in implementing new Slate features and functionality
• Serve as backup to the Director of Enrollment Operations as needed
