About The Position
The Mater Private Hospital Redlands' Endoscopy Suites is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic Enrolled Nurse to join us on a permanent part-time basis, 32 hours per week. Flexibility is required as you will be required to work a range of shifts Monday to Saturday plus participate in the on-call roster. Mater Private Hospital Redland offers the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of Redlands Mater Private Hospital and gain valuable experience. Mater Private Hospital Redland has been supporting Brisbane's Bayside community since 2000 and is Redland Coast’s only private hospital facility. Located in the suburb of Cleveland, the 60-bed hospital features 2 operating theatres and a wide range of specialised surgical and medical services, from women’s health, urology, ophthalmology, general and orthopaedics.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and share knowledge with less-experienced staff
- Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management activities
- A strong patient-service focus
- Demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement
- Willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships
- Required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve our patient’s care outcomes relevant to the Endoscopy Unit.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Endoscopy experience desirable however not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Providing quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy and minor procedures. Includes pre/intra and post procedure care
- Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care including preparing patients for discharge
- Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
