Enrichment Teaching Opportunities- Podcasting Focus
About The Position
Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide engaging enrichment programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. We are seeking enthusiastic instructors from a variety of educational, creative, technical, athletic, and professional backgrounds to lead hands-on, engaging programs in their areas of expertise. Instructional opportunities may include: STEM, engineering, coding, robotics, and technology; Art, animation, photography, video, and graphic design; Music, dance, theater, and creative expression; Chess, strategy games, and academic enrichment; Cooking, household science, entrepreneurship, and career exploration; Sports, fitness, yoga, movement, and wellness; Tutoring, literacy, study skills, and other educational programs.
Requirements
- Relevant subject knowledge and experience working with young people.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Reliability and professionalism.
Nice To Haves
- 60+ completed college credits or relevant professional experience appropriate to the assignment.
- Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, instructing, or leading youth programs.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in schools, camps, community programs, or similar settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction.
- Prepare for sessions using provided curriculum, approved lesson plans, or appropriate instructor-developed activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and adapt instruction to different ages and experience levels.
- Maintain appropriate student supervision and follow school safety and site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with school personnel and Concorde Education regarding attendance, scheduling, and program needs.
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions.
Benefits
- Starting at $50+ per instructional hour, with rates varying by assignment, experience, qualifications, location, scheduling needs, and other program-related factors.
