About The Position

This role involves creating and implementing daily enrichment activities, supervising children, and assisting with their academic and recreational development. The Enrichment Staff member will collaborate with teachers on Project Based Learning, support special projects, and ensure the safety and well-being of students during various activities, including homework help, snack distribution, and field trips. The position also requires adherence to school board policies and communication with site coordinators and project managers.

Ability to escort students to bus loading areas and ensure all students are on the bus.

Strong communication skills for daily interaction with Site Coordinator/Lead Teacher.
Ability to work with janitors and students to maintain room order.

Responsibilities

Creates and implements daily enrichment activity lesson plans.
Supervises the children and engages them in activities.
Monitors student's performance.
Assists students with homework assignments and tutors during academic time.
Enhances enrichment and recreational activities by coordinating with the teachers on the Project Based Learning.
Helps with special projects, handouts, passing out snacks, cleaning all areas and making copies.
Assists in escorting students to the bus loading area and making sure that all students are on the bus.
Attends required trainings.
Commits to Positive Youth Development Asset building.
Assists in completing a self-assessment on the program.
Supports family involvement activities as needed.
Attends field trips with home group.
Communicates daily with the Site Coordinator/Lead Teacher.
Works with janitors and students to assure that room is in good order at the end of the evening and is ready for the next day's school.
Follows school board policies.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
