Enrichit Coordinator- Edmonton
About The Position
Abraar Elementary School is currently recruiting for a part-time EnrichIt! Coordinator. The purpose of EnrichIt! is to strive to enrich education through a wide variety of experiences. The advantage of enhancing the theory with hands-on learning methods is that students grasp difficult concepts more easily when they are having fun and seeing the theory bloom into something they created. Many EnrichIt! activities may act as motivation for long term student success as they take part in activities that challenge them and broaden their horizons through a variety of fun and interactive opportunities. EnrichIt! activities are age appropriate and motivate students to extend their interest beyond the Ontario Curriculum. They contribute to a well rounded education. Requirements
- At least 1 year of teaching experience
- Proficient in computers and computer software is essential
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Energetic personality with strong inter-personal skills
- Desire to build current programs and maintain a strong niche in the community
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with project management
- Experience with curriculum management
Responsibilities
- Research EnrichIt! Activities for preschool to Grade 10 based on the Ontario Curriculum
- Plan for teachers best suited times for each activity and help maintain Master Calendar
- Communicate plans of activities with staff in advance with details, requirements, etc.
- Coordinate with Islamic Studies lead activities to build the character education and Islamic Studies program
- Negotiate with third party vendors pricing and activities for EnrichIt!
- Obtain feedback from teachers regarding activities
- Overlook implementation of day-to-day workshops, activities, field trips, etc.
- Problem solve issues pertaining to daytime activities
- Coordinate with third-party bussing for all off-site activities
- Aid in building the EnrichIt! Brand (merchandise, marketing, etc.)
- Ensure budget is used effectively and efficiently
- Track expenditures using an on-going spreadsheet
- Create chart of activities for weekly reminders
- Coordinate “EnrichIt! Expo” with third-party vendors at Orientation and Open House
- Manage database of pictures/videos for marketing purposes
- Manage school events throughout the year
- Attract sponsors and fundraising for EnrichIt!
