The academy is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Enhanced Funding Educator to join their dedicated team. This role is crucial in creating a warm, caring environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. The position is a contract role ending December 27, 2024, with a possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on campus requirements. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, requiring flexibility of shift day to day.

  • RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
  • ECE Early Childhood Educator
  • CYW Child Youth Worker
  • CYC Child and Youth Care
  • ECA Early Childhood Assistant
  • EA Educational Assistant
  • 2 Step TB Skin Test
  • Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
  • Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
  • Follows the Centre’s Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
  • Provides positive social experiences
  • Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
  • Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
  • Implement emergency procedures
  • Attending to the child’s physical needs
  • Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
  • Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
  • Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
  • Daily observations
  • Maintain child records
