About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division is seeking an experienced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Manager for their Tukwila, WA location. This role will lead a team responsible for all Data Management activities on the P-8 program. Key responsibilities include identifying product deliverables, scheduling contract data requirements lists (CDRLs) and non-CDRLs, tracking deliveries, coordinating performance to plan, making customer deliveries, and releasing drawings, models, and documentation. The manager will foster relationships with customers, stakeholders, and their team, provide oversight for technical approaches, products, and processes, and focus on employee development. This position also involves participating in the MS&B division PLM management team, promoting PLM process and tool standardization, and overseeing improvement initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of business operations, market trends, and effective communication. The manager must prioritize customer needs, employ innovative thinking, and ensure the highest quality standards and safety protocols are met. They will own team performance, direct daily operations, and provide guidance and support to resolve complex problems.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership".
Bachelor degree
Relevant professional experience in software engineering, digital engineering, AI/ML, or data science with demonstrated hands-on delivery.
Proven experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams (software, AI/ML, data science) and managing delivery of production systems.
Leadership experience, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
Experience presenting to senior leadership and partnering with cross-functional teams.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

Degree in an engineering, computer science, or data-related discipline.
Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries with exposure to certification, quality, and data-marking requirements.
Familiarity with PLM environments (e.g., Dassault Systèmes 3D Experience, Windchill, CMPRO, Teamcenter/IPDM, DCAC) and MBSE concepts.
Experience in SAFe Agile methodologies and leadership having a clear understanding of scrum structure and roles such as business owner, product owner, and scrum master.
Experience with related PLM tools such as CSDT, REDARS, ADADs, etc.

Responsibilities

Manage a team responsible for all Data Management activities on the P-8 program.
Identify all product deliverables for each contract.
Schedule deliveries for all CDRLs and non-CDRLS.
Track and coordinate deliveries and performance to plan.
Make deliveries to the customer.
Perform releases of drawings, models, and documentation.
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Develop and motivate employees.
Participate and promote the standardization and alignment of PLM processes and tools across the division.
Provide input and feedback representing the P-8 program and PLM.
Oversee implementation of improvement initiatives as applicable.
Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Own the team performance and direct daily operations of the team.
Advise a team regarding tasks, projects and operations.
Foster positive relationships, create growth opportunities, and actively involved (down and in) in daily operations as necessary to meet schedule or resolve complex problems.
