About The Position

Episcopal High School (EHS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School English Teacher to join our faculty. We are looking for an educator who values collaboration, student success, and innovative teaching strategies.   • Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the school’s Mission & Guiding Principles as well as the school’s DCI Statement & Priorities through appropriate words and actions.
  • Design, prepare, and implement lessons, activities, and resources that facilitate active and effective learning.
  • Develop, administer, and provide feedback on various types of assessments that are timely and appropriate for achieving course objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for learning.
  • Develop and maintain strong rapport with students and provide one-on-one assistance as needed.
  • Incorporate technology effectively and regularly.
  • Keep parents, advisors, and school leaders informed of student progress.
  • Serve as an advisor to a small group of students and fulfill all required elements of the Advisory Program.
  • Lead by example in Daily Chapel, including Family Chapel.
  • Attend and engage actively in department meetings and other required school events.
  • Share resources, assist, and collaborate with fellow faculty.
  • Fulfill other elements of the school’s Essential Expectations and Standards of Excellence in Teaching.
