About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for English Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Indianapolis, IN. The student is an adult at an intermediate level, speaking Japanese at home. The student desires lessons focused on common expressions, conversational confidence, understanding the US school system, and local business culture. She prefers a structured approach with conversation practice, flexibility for adjustments, and between-lesson exercises. Learning through a variety of methods including speaking, listening, reading, and writing is important to her.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
Responsibilities
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
