About The Position

Seeking a Long Term Substitute English Teacher for a High School position. The ideal candidate will support a vision that reflects an ALL STUDENTS classroom program, adhere to the R.I. Educator Code of Professional Responsibility, and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, students, and administrators. This role involves utilizing technology in teaching and learning, understanding curriculum, standards, and performance assessment, and promoting the R.I. High School Diploma System and Common Core Standards. The position also requires supporting co-teaching models and Professional Learning Community goals.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Rhode Island Certification - Secondary English
  • Relevant credentials
  • Relevant successful experience
  • Ability to know and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, standards, and performance assessment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude.
