T-26/27 ENGLISH LEARNER TEACHER (Key)
About The Position
This position is a 0.5 FTE located at Escuela Key Elementary School. The role requires a teacher with or eligible for Virginia licensure, an Elementary Education endorsement, and English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification. Experience in teaching English Learners, knowledge of best instructional practices, ability to integrate technology, and experience in educational and instructional leadership are expected. The teacher will work effectively as a team member with colleagues, be flexible, dependable, and highly organized, and have a desire to work with a diverse community of learners. Excellent interpersonal skills and familiarity with APS English Learner program models and assessment procedures are also important.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Elementary Education endorsement.
- English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification required.
- Teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas
- Knowledge of best instructional practices
- Ability to integrate technology
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred but not required.
