About The Position

Providence Englewood Charter School (PECS) is seeking an English Learner (EL) Teacher to support elementary students in developing their English language skills and achieving academic success. The EL Teacher will provide direct instruction to English Learners through small-group, push-in, and/or pull-out support. The teacher will also collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure EL students have the appropriate strategies, accommodations, and support needed to access grade-level instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
• ESL and/or Bilingual endorsement, as required.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with English Learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to English Learners.
• Support students in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support EL students across content areas.
• Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction.
• Support ACCESS/WIDA testing and required EL documentation.
• Communicate and build positive relationships with students and families.
• Ensure EL services meet school, state, and federal requirements.
