English Language Teacher (ESL) in Dallas, TX
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English (ESL) Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client in Dallas. The student is an adult male who has recently relocated to the US and is at an intermediate level. Lessons are to be held at the student's home near South Saint Paul Street and Main Street, Dallas, TX (75201). The preferred start date is ASAP. Lessons will be once per week for 60 minutes per session, with flexibility on weekday evenings and during weekends. The student's primary goal is to work on his American accent and pronunciation, speaking grammatically correct English, and building vocabulary. He prefers structured lessons that remain adaptive, using each session to identify strengths and weaknesses so the focus can shift to what needs improvement.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of English (ESL) teaching experience
