About The Position
We’re seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive English Language Development (ELD) Teacher to support multilingual learners in achieving language proficiency and academic success at Lebanon School District. In this role, you’ll provide specialized instruction and support that helps English Learners develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while fostering confidence, inclusion, and meaningful engagement in the school community.
Requirements
- Appropriate Pennsylvania teacher certification with ESL endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study
- Strong communication, organizational, and instructional technology skills
- Ability to effectively support English Learners, families, and staff across multiple educational settings
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging lessons that accelerate English language acquisition through meaningful learning experiences
- Building a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where multilingual learners feel valued and supported
- Utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborating with teachers and families to ensure students receive appropriate academic and language supports
- Promoting cultural awareness and responsiveness throughout the school community
- Deliver specialized language instruction that supports English Learners in developing proficiency across all language domains
- Design and implement engaging lessons using research-based instructional strategies
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide effective supports and accommodations for English Learners
- Provide professional development, coaching, and resources that strengthen district-wide support for multilingual students
- Partner with families using translation services and culturally responsive communication practices
- Maintain student records and program documentation while monitoring student growth and progress
- Support diverse student populations, including newly enrolled English Learners and students with unique educational needs
