About The Position

ELD Teachers support multilingual learners in developing English skills needed to succeed in academics and social contexts. English language teachers specifically provide language instruction and support focused on helping students gain proficiency in learning the English skills needed to excel in key areas of academics like math, science, social studies, and English.

Requirements

• 1.0 FTE
• Licensed
• Probationary Contract Status
• 191 Work Days
• Must be eligible for or possess a teaching license.
• Experience working with multilingual learners is preferred.
• Knowledge of language acquisition theories and best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers and staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with multilingual learners.
• Bilingual proficiency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support multilingual learners in developing English skills needed to succeed in academics and social contexts.
