About The Position

Otsego Public Schools is seeking to add an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to its middle school staff for the 2026-27 school year. This position is posted internally and externally, with preference given to internal applicants.

• Valid English (BA/BV/BX)

Nice To Haves

• Some teaching experience strongly preferred
• Training in Lucy Caulkins Units of Study preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and prepare class materials and homework assignments to meet class objectives.
• Gather the appropriate materials and equipment to address the goals and objectives.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and resources consistent with parameters of the educational environment and the needs and limitations of the students involved.
