About The Position

The State of Connecticut, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is recruiting an English Instructor to join their team at Ella T Grasso Technical High School in Groton, CT. This role is for an experienced educator passionate about shaping the future of the field and transforming the lives of Connecticut's youth. CTECS prepares trade-bound students for the skilled workforce through exemplary trade and academic programming. The position follows a ten-month academic calendar (188 days per year) and is a first shift, full-time role (35 hours per week) Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Active State of Connecticut teaching certificate in one of the following areas: 015 (English) certification OR be Eligible for a State of Connecticut teaching certificate in subject area (includes ARC candidates).
• Possess a valid certificate issued by the Connecticut State Board of Education in accordance with the Certification Regulations Concerning State Educator Certificates, Permits and Authorizations, with a secondary school endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering effective, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of all students, including implementing IEP and 504 accommodations.
