English (ESL) Language Teacher in Sterling Heights, MI
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently hiring an English (ESL) Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client in Sterling Heights. The student is an adult with an advanced level of English, whose native language is Arabic. The lessons will focus on pronunciation, speech clarity, accent improvement, public speaking, professional and academic English, and building confidence when speaking in front of others. Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Sterling Heights, MI (Van Dyke Ave & 17 Mile Rd). The preferred start date is ASAP. The required availability is Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, but can be flexible if the teacher has alternative times to suggest. The lesson frequency is once per week, for 1 hour per session.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
- Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years of English (ESL) teaching experience
