About The Position

The faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes, helping students achieve their learning potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field. This role also involves continuing professional development, utilizing current technology, maintaining professional conduct, assisting with curriculum development, serving on college committees, participating in faculty governance, and fulfilling other duties of a full-time faculty member. The instructional assignment may include teaching courses such as Academic Reading and Writing, Critical Thinking and Writing, and College Composition and Literature, including honors sections.

Requirements

Master’s in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition, OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing or journalism, OR the equivalent.
All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by January 14, 2026.
