About The Position
The Department of English is creating a pool of adjunct lecturers to teach English composition courses online. The position is contingent on funding. Applicants must submit a writing sample, student evaluations, and contact information for at least three professional references. First consideration date: November 1, 2026. Appointment is contingent on successfully passing a background check. Southern Utah University states that it cannot sponsor international faculty and staff who require an H1B visa and currently live outside the United States.
Requirements
- Master's degree in English or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English.
- Successful passing of a background check.
Responsibilities
- Teach sections of ENGL 1010, Introduction to Academic Writing.
- Teach sections of ENGL 1010E, Introduction to Academic Writing, Extended.
- Teach sections of ENGL 2010, Intermediate Academic Writing.
