About The Position

Concordia University Texas is seeking an Adjunct (part-time) English professor to teach undergraduate “Academic Research and Writing” on-ground at their main Austin location beginning Fall, 2026. The course aims to develop students' critical reading, writing, research, and revision skills for college-level academic work. Students will learn to ethically and legally locate and evaluate information, apply rhetorical strategies, organize and develop written texts, revise effectively, and communicate ideas with clarity and precision. The position requires individuals committed to encouraging and supporting diversity, inclusion, and equity, and who can articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in English, Literature, or Composition required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as scheduled and accepted.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and accurate grading using Blackboard Ultra LMS.
• Complete required trainings and remain current with institutional expectations.
• Respond consistently and professionally to email communication from administration and students.
• Articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values.
