About The Position

This role is responsible for providing service and repairs to hotel equipment, including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint, and decorating. The position involves responding to and managing assigned tickets in Visitt, addressing guest inquiries and problems efficiently and professionally, and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment. The role also includes maintaining the grounds and hotel, troubleshooting various maintenance issues, and assisting guests as needed. Daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems) are crucial. The position requires troubleshooting and repairing guestroom issues such as lighting, fixtures, locks, heating/cooling, televisions, and appliances. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the setup, repair, and upkeep of hotel furniture, walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures, and maintaining accurate records of work performed and supplies used. Seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping are also part of the responsibilities. The role also emphasizes guest service by addressing and assisting guests promptly and collaboratively working with other departments to minimize guest inconvenience. Compliance with company, local, state, and federal guidelines, escalating safety concerns, and participating in emergency response procedures are also key aspects of the role. Maintaining public areas and back-of-house spaces for safety, cleanliness, and proper function is essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Open availability to work any shift, including, nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for multiple hours: up to 10 hours during the shift
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with: HVAC, plumbing, low-voltage electrical, carpentry, painting
  • 1-3 years of experience with maintenance duties
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hotel: preferably

Responsibilities

  • Provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint, and decorating.
  • Respond, manage, and complete assigned tickets in Visitt promptly.
  • Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
  • Maintain grounds, hotel, and Swann House.
  • Troubleshoot various maintenance issues.
  • Assist guests as needed.
  • Perform daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems).
  • Troubleshoot and repair guestroom issues (e.g., lighting, fixtures, locks, heating/cooling, televisions, appliances).
  • Assist with setup, repair, and upkeep of hotel furniture, walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts/supplies used.

  • Address, greet, and assist guests who come within view.
  • Address guest requests promptly.
  • Follow set company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Escalate safety concerns to management when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to minimize guest inconvenience and downtime.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures (e.g., fire alarms, power outages, water leaks).
  • Maintain public areas and back-of-house spaces to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper function.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
