We're hiring an Engineering Test Technician for our Northwest Houston area client! We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented professional who is ready to interview immediately! DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB: Job Title: Engineering Test Technician Location: Northwest Houston, TX Pay: $30 - $34/hour DOE Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience gathering, recording, and analyzing test data.
  • Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets, and reporting software.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving measurements, percentages, and geometry.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing or testing environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with mechanical testing, oilfield equipment, downhole tools, manufacturing equipment, or similar industrial products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support testing activities for engineering projects and product validation.
  • Prepare, organize, and set up equipment, tools, and fixtures required for testing operations.
  • Maintain testing schedules and ensure equipment is available and ready for upcoming projects.
  • Conduct performance, functionality, and validation testing on mechanical products and assemblies.
  • Document test results, collect data, and assist with report preparation and analysis.
  • Work closely with engineers and technical personnel to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements.
  • Support laboratory operations, test setup, and execution of product evaluations.
  • Manage inventory of testing fixtures, tools, and related equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
