About The Position

SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company focused on creating lifestyle solutions. They are building an AI-native culture and are looking for early career talent through their Early Edge Experience program. This program offers internships and co-ops designed to provide valuable industry exposure in a fast-paced environment. Interns will work on meaningful projects, benefit from professional development, and have the opportunity to present their contributions to leadership. This is a single application for various engineering and technology roles across different functions, including electrical, embedded, software, robotics, digital, quality, test, and safety. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers on products that reach millions of homes, potentially working on circuit boards, control algorithms, cloud or mobile code, test fixtures, field returns, or safety compliance. The ideal candidate is technically curious, hands-on, solution-oriented, and ready to make an impact.

Requirements

Current student in a related bachelor's or master’s or PhD program or has graduated from such a program within the past year.
Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule.
Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, or a closely related technical field.
Strong fundamentals in your discipline and the curiosity to apply them to new problems.
Builder’s mindset: comfortable with lab and test equipment, hand tools and prototyping, or a code editor.
Programming or scripting experience in one or more of C, C++, Python, MATLAB, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
Able to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and product requirements.
Natural communicator who can explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail in testing, documentation, and data analysis; offers data-backed insights and constructive feedback.
Comfortable multitasking and shifting between immediate tasks and longer-term projects in a fast-paced environment, with proactive ownership of your work.
Collaborative, positive, and eager to contribute to an innovation-driven team.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship, co-op, capstone, club, research, or personal project experience in consumer products, electronics, robotics, software, or quality is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and validation of next-generation Shark and Ninja products and their software.
Work hands-on in labs, at the bench, and in code: building prototypes, test fixtures, scripts, and tools.
Support debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigation on real products and consumer data.
Develop and execute test plans, document results, and translate data into design recommendations.
Participate in design reviews, sprints, stand-ups, and technical discussions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments including Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management.
Gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
Own a meaningful project end to end and present contributions to SharkNinja leaders.
Designing, simulating, and evaluating analog and digital circuits.
Board bring-up, debugging, and validation of real-time embedded electronics.
Writing and debugging firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
Developing and tuning control algorithms.
Working with robotics and navigation technologies.
Supporting EMC, safety, and certification testing, EBOM/CBOM cost analysis, DVT, and DFMEA.
Building and verifying cloud and connected-product software.
Developing cross-platform mobile apps.
Front-end and web development, CMS content updates, analytics and performance tracking, and UX audits.
Testing and evaluating AI-powered digital features.
Coordinating technical roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, and risks.
Providing first-level IT support.
Designing and building custom electro-mechanical test rigs and automated test systems.
Writing automated test scripts and integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and data acquisition tools.
Executing manual and system-level test protocols.
Tearing down products, analyzing data, and investigating failure modes.
Evaluating consumer feedback to drive root cause analysis.
Supporting product safety and regulatory compliance work, internal audits, risk assessments, EHS inspections, and safety training.
