This posting is a single application for various engineering and technology roles across different functions, including electrical, embedded, software, robotics, digital, quality, test, and safety. Successful candidates will work alongside experienced engineers on products used in millions of homes. The role requires technical curiosity, a hands-on approach, and a solution-oriented mindset, with the expectation of making an impact from day one. Teams include Electrical Engineering, Firmware & Embedded Software Engineering, Control Systems & Algorithms, Robotics & Mechatronics, Software Engineering (Web, Mobile, Program Management), Digital & Website Technology, IT Service Desk, Product Test Engineering, Software Quality Assurance & Test Automation, System Quality Assurance, CORE Quality, Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).

Requirements

Current student in a related bachelor's, master's, or PhD program, or graduated within the past year.
Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule.
Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics, Quality Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Health & Safety, or a closely related technical field.
Strong fundamentals in your discipline and the curiosity to apply them to new problems.
Builder’s mindset: comfortable with lab and test equipment, hand tools, prototyping, or a code editor.
Programming or scripting experience in one or more of C, C++, Python, MATLAB, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
Able to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and product requirements.
Natural communicator who can explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail in testing, documentation, and data analysis; offers data-backed insights and constructive feedback.
Comfortable multitasking and shifting between immediate tasks and longer-term projects in a fast-paced environment, with proactive ownership of your work.
Collaborative, positive, and eager to contribute to an innovation-driven team.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior internship, co-op, capstone, club, research, or personal project experience in consumer products, electronics, robotics, software, or quality is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and validation of next-generation Shark and Ninja products and their software.
Work hands-on in labs, at the bench, and in code: building prototypes, test fixtures, scripts, and tools.
Support debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigation on real products and consumer data.
Develop and execute test plans, document results, and translate data into design recommendations.
Participate in design reviews, sprints, stand-ups, and technical discussions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Firmware, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management.
Gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to post-market feedback.
Own a meaningful project end-to-end and present contributions to SharkNinja leaders.
Designing, simulating, and evaluating analog and digital circuits (e.g., power supplies, motor control, sensor integration).
Board bring-up, debugging, and validation of real-time embedded electronics.
Writing and debugging firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
Developing and tuning control algorithms in Python, MATLAB, or C++.
Working with robotics and navigation technologies.
Supporting EMC, safety, and certification testing, EBOM/CBOM cost analysis, DVT, and DFMEA.
Building and verifying cloud and connected-product software on AWS IoT platform.
Developing cross-platform mobile apps.
Front-end and web development, CMS content updates, analytics and performance tracking.
Testing and evaluating AI-powered digital features.
Coordinating technical roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, and risks.
Providing first-level IT support (device setup, account provisioning, ticket management).
Designing and building custom electro-mechanical test rigs and automated test systems.
Writing automated test scripts and integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and data acquisition tools.
Executing manual and system-level test protocols and documenting defects.
Analyzing large data sets and investigating failure modes.
Evaluating consumer field returns, reviews, and call center feedback for root cause analysis.
Supporting product safety and regulatory compliance work, internal audits, risk assessments, and EHS inspections.
