About The Position

The Technician is responsible for operating and supporting multiple manufacturing processes to meet production, quality, and safety objectives. This role bridges hands-on manufacturing execution with engineering analysis, process optimization, and technical problem-solving which requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the flexibility to cross-train and perform effectively across various operations. The technician will work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and facilities teams to ensure reliable workflows and continuous improvement. Finally, this position carries defined expectations for professional growth toward an engineering role through achievement of structured technical and analytical milestones.

Requirements

  • Technical Associate’s degree or 3+ years of manufacturing experience, required.
  • Aerospace, Medical device, electronics or PCB manufacturing industry, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documentation, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Proven ability to learn and retain multiple processes, equipment operations, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Candidates must qualify as US Persons.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/sciences, preferred
  • Experience with Laser, Etch, Wet (Electroplating), or sputtering processes and operations, preferred
  • IPC-A-610 certification or working with standards, preferred
  • Conversational in any other language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment across multiple manufacturing operations.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with standardized work instructions, safety policies, and quality requirements.
  • Participate in cross-training activities and achieve certification in multiple operational areas.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections and accurately document production results.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process issues and identify maintenance concerns; escalate issues as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Follow daily production schedules to meet output, throughput, and volume expectations.
  • Collaborate with production and facilities teams to resolve issues and improve workflow reliability.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training other team members after demonstrating competency in specific operations.
  • Support process engineering activities including process characterization, optimization, and validation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify trends, variability, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with implementation of process changes, tooling updates, and equipment qualifications under engineering guidance.
  • Participate in failure analysis and root-cause investigations using structured methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Support CAPA activities by contributing to investigation, corrective action development, and effectiveness verification.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and SOPs.
