About The Position

Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations. Work in Machine R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design, construction, and testing of EV Charging products. Use data acquisition system, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation of documentation. Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, soldering equipment, etc. (Training provided as needed). Support testing and maintenance on the public charging station on the Cleveland campus. Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s RISE Strategy.

Requirements

  • Level III: Vocational Training & 5+ years of related experience or, Associates Degree in related field or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 7+ years of experience in related field
  • Level IV: Vocational Training & 8+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 10+ years of experience in related field
  • Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes
  • Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise
  • Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Highly motivated, quick to learn, and safety conscious.
  • Ability to organize and maintain a neat work area.
  • Able to maintain detailed test records.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with supervision and clear instruction.
  • Familiarity with personal computers using the Windows® operating system.
  • Ability to use common laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics and test specifications.
  • Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.
  • Easy to get along in a group and team environment.
  • PCB assembly skills for thru-hole and SMT assembly and rework.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • BGA experience a plus.
